Doctor Doctor!!

Well I finally broke down and went to the Doctor, about the pain in my left wrist and thumb, turns out ( x-ray) I have arthritis in the joints and one is pretty inflamed! So I have to go part time with the Grooming (day job), and wear a brace with a thumb splint, day and night for the next 6 months. Not real sure when I will be able to crochet again, very sad about this, as I just love crocheting, thank goodness I can still knit. And on a lighter note , I do love knitting too!

Moral of this story! Take care of those hands lady's and gents, exercise them, take breaks and happy crafting!

I'm so sorry to hear that. I appreciate the use of my hands because one just never knows what the future will bring. My grandma had arthritis and she couldn't knit because of it. It may happen to me, but I pray it won't. I use my hands more than anything else.

Hope you feel better soon.

I hope it will not happen to you, it really is very painful, but I have to say wearing my brace has helped, and I am able to knit okay. I think the universe is telling me to slow down and pace myself!!! Craft a-holic that I am. It would take alot to make me stop completely ... very strong headed. he he

Thank you for your note of concern, it is so comforting to know other people care and share with me their thoughts.

Cyber hug
Have a nice day!

How horrible, you know I had some arthritis on my hands, but it seemed to have improved, at the time we were living in a tinny basement apartment, now we are on a house...the moisture can really affect your bones. I hope you feel better soon, from what I can see here you make such beautiful crochet things, so I hope you get right back at it in no time, in the meantime like you said Knitting will have to do ;)

Thank you Diana for your words of comfort, I am wearing my brace day and night, and hope to soon be able to crochet again, I love to knit, but it just is not as satisfying as my crocheted ami's, well that's not fair, it is ,however they are so different, but I do love the softness of the knit toys!
